Kara Rosenlund
Photographer Kara Rosenlund’s limited edition print collections are influenced by the exotic nature of our landscape in Australia.
Kara’s eye is constantly drawn to the beauty of traveling through the Australian outback and coastlines and the colours of the landscape.
Her photographic prints are a beautiful addition to coastal and country-inspired interiors; calm, textural scenes bringing life and colour to any home.
Kara’s first book, Shelter – was published by Lantern, in 2015, captures a year long road trip through Australia, seeking out and documenting Australian authentic interiors and landscapes. Her second book, Weekends, is a personal celebration of the quintessential spirit of Summer in Australia, sharing with the reader Kara’s family weekends with her husband and two babies, spent in their 1970's island shack surrounded by nature on Minjerribah aka Stradbroke Island.
Kara’s photographic work has been exhibited throughout Australia and abroad, with pieces held in public and private collections, including most notably a solo exhibition at the Sydney Opera House. Most recently, her portraits of ocean conservationist Valerie Taylor illuminated the Sydney Opera House for World Ocean Day.
