August 2018

Last month our Directors Tony and Cath Stocks exhibited TV-Mirrors by Framing to a T at No Vacancy in Sydney. As the trade fair was targeted to the hotel industry, we created a luxe ‘hotel’ look for our stand to showcase our TV-Mirrors.

Our inspiration for our hotel look began following a stay at the exquisite Jackalope on the Mornington Peninsula. This modern hotel ticked all our design boxes and we sought to bring the muted tones and contemporary finish to our space at No Vacancy.

Not only were we exhibiting at this trade fair for the first time, but we were releasing new designs so we wanted to focus our styling around the spectacular TV-Mirrors.

Our framing designs for the TV-Mirrors included black and gold, textured brown and greys. To create a harmony between the three large-scale pieces we looked at textures and colour palettes to tie everything together.

After a look at patterned wall coverings, we opted for a textured Dulux paint as the ideal backdrop for the walls. A mid grey was modern and muted, so we selected Timeless Grey.

Our furnishings were selected to really complete our hotel room scenario. A black timber buffet with leather handles from Globewest created a striking key piece. The space was softened with a silver-grey velvet occasional chair by Weylandts; a chic, comfortable addition.

The bronze sculpture by Eva Ermer brought an element of artisan workmanship to the space. Not only are our TV-Mirrors custom made, but hand made in-house by our expert picture framers.

Our choice of fresh blooms were seasonal burgundy and deep pink cymbidium orchids by the exquisite Hermetica Flowers. We introduced gold in the furnishings with a small side table.

Our framing designs for the TV-Mirrors included a large silver frame. The curved ridges of this frame create an art deco presence for a bold finish. A modern black, square and sleek timber frame paired with gold trim, and a textured brown frame with a rustic finish brought an earthy element to the TV-Mirror.

What a fabulous experience, the staff and organisers at No Vacancy were excellent to work with and a big thank you to our visitors who loved our product as much as we do. A special thanks to our hard working crew at Framing to a T. These TV-Mirror designs and occasional furniture pieces are available in store at Framing to a T.
