Contemporary Luxury Living Designed for Renting; Home Docklands Apartments Celebrate Australian Makers

November 2025

A build-to rent project, designed by Cox Architecture and styled by Ruth Welsby, HOME Docklands is a striking modern building with 676 apartments located on the fringe of Melbourne’s CBD.

Providing a more residential response to a building of this scale, Home Docklands is thoughtfully curated with furnishings and art from a host of Australian makers; from GlobeWest, Jardan, Sarah Ellison, Grazia & Co and TV-Mirrors by FRAMING TO A T.

Curated with furnishings by Australian brands including GlobeWest, Jardan & TV-Mirrors by FRAMING TO A T, this build-to-rent project champions Australian design.

Offering residents high-end fully furnished apartments and communal spaces to elevate the apartment-living lifestyle, the development includes a wellness space, pool, infrared sauna, co-working space, podcast studio and cafe. Home Docklands provides luxury hotel-style living, with elevated interiors, furnished by Australian brands throughout.

GlobeWest furnished 84 of the apartments, injecting colour, life and warmth into these spaces with their distinct, timeless furniture pieces. These ready-styled spaces, complete with functional, stylish furniture, homewares and art have created beautiful finished interiors.

Our longstanding relationship with GlobeWest invited the opportunity to complete an apartment with a custom TV-Mirror by FRAMING TO A T.

A multifunctional product, our TV-Mirrors are an ideal addition to apartment living where wall space may be limited. When the TV is off, the piece is a beautiful framed mirror and when the TV is on, the hidden TV then plays imagery seamlessly. Introducing a mirror to a space will not only make the room feel larger, but it also invites the outdoors in when reflecting a beautiful view.

Each TV-Mirror by FRAMING TO A T is made to order, with customisation available for TV size, frame style and even orientation. Working alongside the GlobeWest design team and collaborator and stylist Ruth Welsby, the team selected this textured, timber veneer profile - the framed TV is a Samsung in 55" size. This earthy timber TV frame complements the warm tones.

Australian brands are proudly featured throughout the building and a series of collected artworks complete the communal areas - bringing life, colour and community to these curated interiors.

“HOME is proud to continue to demonstrate its’ commitment to nurturing emerging and established Australian and Indigenous artists at HOME Docklands. Designed just for renters, HOME Docklands has been transformed into a living gallery, featuring works from some of Australia's most dynamic artists as part of a curatorial collaboration with Craft ."

The decision to thoughtfully select and work with Australian companies and manufacturers sets a wonderful tone for the project; respecting and celebrating Australian design.
